isn’t Ron Paul great and just what this country needs? Now if only every one could see this…

  3. Cindy Kirby Says:

    Sean,

With all due respect-does Ron Paul not believe there is any place for government? What about the Post Office? Currently the PO delivers to EVERY DELIVERY, no matter how rural, first class mail at the SAME price. Only a government agency with a mandate of universal service would be willing to do that. What about security, PO employees take an oath to protect the mail, agree to deliver medicine in the case of a terrorist attack etc. The PO wants to allow contracting and subsequent subcontracting out of mail delivery to all new addresses (ie someone with out a background check would handle your credit card mailings etc)Also, this would end the living wage and benefits Postal Workers deserve. The Senate has a bill S. 1457 to stop this and 38 Senators have cosponsored but Sen Ron Paul has not. Please check the actual voting records of all candidates before voting! Promises are different than actions.

  4. Sean Doherty Says:

    Cindy,
I understand your point and am glad that you have commented on my blog! The post office is one of the things that I do believe needs to be kept as a government agency. Only because the Post Office delivers mail, as you said, for the same price everywhere, and they do such a good job as well! We need the post office!
